WorkRideAlong connects drivers with passengers traveling the same route to work. To ensure safety and reliability for all users, we have established eligibility requirements for drivers on our platform.

Before applying to become a driver, please review the following requirements carefully.

• Valid Driver's License

  You must possess a valid driver's license and be legally authorized to operate a motor vehicle in your country.

• Functioning Vehicle

  You must own or have regular access to a properly maintained and functioning vehicle that meets all safety standards.

• Valid Insurance

  Your vehicle must be covered by valid insurance that meets or exceeds the minimum requirements in your jurisdiction.

• Age Requirement

  You must be at least 18 years old to register as a driver on our platform.

As a WorkRideAlong driver, you'll be sharing your regular commute route with passengers. Here's what you need to know:

• Regular Commute Route

  You should have a regular route that you travel to and from work. This allows passengers to rely on consistent transportation options.

• Defined Stops

  When creating your route, you'll need to define potential pickup and drop-off points along your journey. These stops should be:

  • Safe and legal places to stop your vehicle
  • Easily identifiable locations
  • Convenient for both you and potential passengers

• Consistent Schedule

  You should maintain a relatively consistent schedule for your commute. This helps passengers plan their own schedules accordingly.

As a driver, you have control over which passengers can join your rides:

• Passenger Approval

  You have the right to review and approve passenger requests before they can join your ride.

• Seat Availability

  You determine how many seats are available in your vehicle for passengers.

• Cost Sharing

  You can set reasonable cost-sharing amounts for different stops along your route to help cover fuel and vehicle maintenance expenses.

To become a driver on WorkRideAlong:

1. Register for an account on WorkRideAlong if you haven't already
2. Complete your profile with all required information
3. Go to your profile settings and select the option to register as a driver
4. Fill out the driver application form, including vehicle details
5. Once approved, you can start creating routes and accepting passengers
